Web templates
Obtaining templates
- Faculty and divisional sites:
- Generic templates have been provided to faculty and divisional web teams.
They need to be customised before being used on any official website.
- If your site belongs under a faculty or divisional website please contact your faculty or divisional web team for a copy of the appropriate templates.
- Where no such team exists, request a set of customised templates be developed by the Web Resources and Development (WRD) team.
Preparing to migrate to the new templates
Prepare to migrate to the new templates by:
- taking an inventory of the sites content to identify content that needs to be removed, updated, or created
- reviewing the site structure to improve site structure and navigation
- sourcing images for use on the site.
See preparing web content for migration for more information.
Using the web templates
- Familiarise yourself with the Monash Web Style Guide.
It contains standards and guidelines for branding, navigation and site structure, content and technical aspects of websites.
- Use a quality assurance process to ensure that your site meets the standards set out in the style guide.
- See Using customised templates for more information.
Take care when using FrontPage to edit templates.
