What is this service?

The Monash Business Intelligence (BI) Service provides high-quality management information to University decision-makers. BI at Monash represents an integrated set of applications and technologies for gathering, storing, analysing, and providing access to information to help the University make more timely and informed decisions.
Information is currently available for: Research - Grants/Applications; Publications; Supervisions; HDR Performance Education - Unit and Course Performance; Student Cohort Analysis.

Who can use it?

Available to all authorised staff, across all locations. The information is targeted towards:
Senior Executive; Faculty Management - Deans, Faculty Managers, Associate Deans, School Heads; Research Administrators; Researchers, Administrators; Unit and Course Coordinators;

How do I get it activated?
|
Users must be registered before being granted access to the BI Service. Users are encouraged to attend an information session, and must complete a user access request form.

How do I use it once it is activated?
|
Please access the site through the below URL. https://bis.monash.edu.au.
Access to BIS from outside the Monash Network (eg from home or wireless connection) requires VPN software and a valid Digital Certificate. Digital Certificates must be applied for through an authorised staff member. Instructions on how to obtain a personal digital certificate available here.
It is recommended that users seek the assistance of their Technical Support staff to install the VPN software and Digital Certificate.
