SMS alerts for emergencies

Students and staff in Australia are now able to receive Monash SMS emergency alerts via their mobile phones.

This new service will provide important information to students and staff in cases where a danger may exist, campus access becomes restricted or essential services are interrupted.

Students are automatically registered for the SMS service as their mobile numbers are recorded when they use the Web Enrolment System.

Staff will need to add their mobile number to their staff records by logging onto ESS and updating their mobile contact details to gain access to the SMS emergency service.
